• Crowns
  • A crown is used to cover a tooth in order to protect and prolong its usefulness. The tooth may have been damaged by decay, or have had a previous restoration that has now failed. Root canalled teeth are often crowned if sufficient tooth structure is missing or if the dentist feels that the tooth will last longer by covering it. There are several types of crowns. Dr. Nouri and his patient will make the decision as to which one is best for him/her. The procedure usually involves two visits. The first is to prepare the tooth and the second is to permanently cement the crown.
